Over 300 people with disabilities (PWDs), experts, donors, agencies, and other stakeholders from various sectors are expected to participate in a two-day conference to discuss and address challenges faced by PWDs and develop inclusive solutions.

The two-day conference, dubbed, "INPEWDEC 2024", would be held in Accra on Thursday and Friday under the theme, "Empowering Persons with Disabilities: Promoting inclusivity, equity, and sustainable development. " It would focus on enhancing food security, nutrition, and the overall empowerment for persons with disabilities in Ghana and neighbouring countries.

The two-day conference is being organised by S-DIA LBG, in collaboration with Inclusion Ghana, SWEB Foundation, and the Sedofa Consultancy (TSC), with sponsorship from the World Food Programme (WFP) in Accra.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the World Food Programme (WFP) in Accra and copied The Ghanaian Times over the weekend to announce its partnership with D-DIA Advocacy LBG for the organisation of the two-day conference. "The World Food Programme (WFP) in Accra, Ghana, has announced its sponsorship to S-DIA Advocacy LBG for the organisation of the International Persons with Disability Empowerment Conference (INPEWDEC 2024)", the statement read.
