Richard Ahiagbah, the Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has defended the party's performance in managing and revamping Ghana's economy, highlighting the progress made before global disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict impacted economic growth.
Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV on Saturday, November 23, Ahiagbah reiterated the NPP's commitment to ensuring steady and sustainable economic growth.
He highlighted several achievements recorded under the party's administration prior to these global crises, which he argued disrupted Ghana's trajectory of economic success.
Ahiagbah pointed out that before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Ghana was widely recognised as a beacon of economic growth on the African continent.
