As the December 7 elections inches closer, the Zongo traditional council of Chiefs is admonishing followers of political parties especially the zongo youth to conduct a clean and violent-free campaigns.

In almost all the previous elections, most areas marked as hotspot are mostly situated in Zongo communities.

Recent fighting incident between supporters of ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Maamobi- Zongo in Accra as well as Ejura in the Ashanti region has come as a concern to leadership in Zongo communities.

For this reason, opinion leaders and chiefs want the zongo youth to refrain from any form of political violence.
