The construction of the Jamestown Fishing Harbour has been completed and is now awaiting commissioning. During a recent tour of the facility, the Minister of Transport, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, expressed his satisfaction with the work done, highlighting the project's significance for the local community. The $50 million project, funded by the Chinese government, took four years to complete. It involved dredging the harbour basin, constructing hydraulic structures, and building various management facilities. The engineering company responsible for the construction is CRCC Harbour and Channel Engineering Bureau Group Limited, from China.
