A scene at a night business centre Professor Lord Mensah, an Economist and Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Ghana Business School has offered expert insights into Accra's night economy, which he says has come to stay, and its potential is immense on the economic future of Ghana. "With the right investments in infrastructure and security, beginning with a sector-by-sector approach, the 24-hour economy policy could become a sustainable reality". He further stated, "the conversation of the 24-hour policy is very rife, as it behooves government to create economic environment for it thrive". From local food joints, street hawking to the transport system, the city's night economy is thriving. Abeka-Lapaz enclave is considered one of the places that pulses with night life, the air is always filled with the sound of music, the aroma of street food with a host of businesses dotted across the streets.
