The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, has announced that the regional hospital at Sewua is ready to open its doors to the public, thanks to a dedicated power supply upgrade.
The opening of the 25-bed capacity Sewua Regional Hospital has been delayed due to a power crisis at the facility, but with a dedicated power supply now in place, the hospital is finally set to open its doors to the public.
The Minister emphasized that, this development is a welcome relief, especially considering the hospital's significant capacity - initially reported to be 250 beds.
Located in the Bosomtwe district, the hospital's completion has been long-awaited since its construction began in 2015, with an initial expected completion time of 20 months.
