Veteran Ghanaian-based pollster, Ben Ephson has argued that Kamala Harris's female gender may have played an important role in her inability to win the just-ended US elections. In an interview with Johhny Hughes and Helen Ampofo on 3FM Sunrise, the pollster mentioned that he expected a smaller margin between former President Trump and the incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris."I am not surprised by Trump's victory; I had an idea Trump was likely to win, only that the margin was far bigger than I thought.

The US talks about equality and so on.

I believe that Kamala's gender played a part in her loss.

The gap was wide and even though I suspected Trump to win, I expected a closer contest.
