The National Media Commission (NMC) has cautioned media outlets to stop producing offensive content or face sanctions.

The NMC warned it would be forced to sanction or enforce penalties against organizations that breach regulations.

The Commission issued the warning during a regulatory meeting on offensive media content with radio and TV stations on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Chairman of the NMC, Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafo, criticized the programming choices of some media outlets and called for heightened responsibility in broadcasting.
