The Ghana Science and Technology Explorer Prize (GSTEP) Challenge 2025 held a virtual launch in Accra last Friday to empower the next generation of Ghanaian innovators.
It was on the theme "Empowering the Next Generation of STEM Innovators" and aimed at inspiring Ghana's youth to harness their potential in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to create impactful solutions for national development. • STEM students working on a project The GSTEP Challenge offers an invaluable platform for students to apply their STEM knowledge to address pressing issues in their communities in diverse sectors like agriculture, healthcare, education, and the environment.
The initiative not only fosters creativity and critical thinking but also nurtures future leaders who can drive social and technological transformation.
In her remarks, Madam Olivia Serwaa Opare, Director of Science Education Unit at the Ghana Education Service (GES), said STEM was the key to unlocking Ghana's future.
