Kwame Owusu Danso (KOD) the running mate of Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has indicated that Ghana's poor performance recently is as a results of the country's failure to invest in their youth football and facilities.Ghana picked just a point in the recent 2025 AFCON Qualifier against Sudan and are close to missing out on the the tournament in Morocco.Danso believes the decline in the national team performance is because of the Ghana Football Association's failure to invest in Colts league, Inter Colleges which produced top tier talent like Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan, Stephen Appiah."It's unfortunate the Black Stars have sunk this low, because it's one thing that unite us always so when they are not performing as expected, it becomes a worrying situation."We don't have a proper sports development plan, if you will remember, we had the likes of Sulley Muntari, Asamoah Gyan, Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien were all discovered through youth football tournaments but now it's dead because of lack of investment into that sector," he told Connect FM in an interview. The Black Stars will play Angola and Niger in the next international with hopes of qualifying to the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.By Francis Hema
