Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana (UG), Prof Ransford Gyampo has called out the governing New Patriotic Party for infiltrating the ranks of UTAG.

The University Teachers Association is currently on strike to drum home the need for government to address issues bothering on illegal mining.

However, a group of University Teacher and non teachers in a press conference indicated that they are they silent majority and are not in favour of the strike.

They urged their colleagues to call off their strike because efforts are underway to fight illegal mining destroying water bodies and forest deserves.
