The chiefs and residents of eight communities in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa district, comprising Kainan, Mampongso, Mantekrom, Odumase, Nsuoakyir, and others, have set a two-week deadline for the NPP government to provide electricity connections by October 15, 2024.
Failure to meet this demand will result in a collective vote against the NPP in the December 7 polls.
The communities have been seeking electricity for eight years, with a contracted project initiated in 2016 but subsequently abandoned.
Leaders, including Nana Yaw Adoboah I and Augustine Appiah, have voiced grievances and allegations of misconduct against project officials.
