Minister for the Interior, Henry Quartey, has said that in a rapidly advancing digital world, Ghana can no longer afford lengthy bureaucratic processes that frustrate rather than facilitate.

He said this while launching an Automated Fire Permit and Certification Management System for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), transitioning from a manual to a digital platform.

This new system streamlines the acquisition of fire permits and certificates, replacing the manual process.

Mr Quartey emphasised that the digital transition marks a significant step forward, replacing the manual system with a more efficient digitised process. "In a rapidly advancing digital world, Ghana can no longer afford lengthy bureaucratic processes that frustrate rather than facilitate," he added.
