A group calling itself Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey will hit the streets of Accra today October 3, 2024.
They will be demonstrating against the government's disregard for calls to halt illegal mining that's destroying water bodies.
The protest will also drum home the need to release some Ghanaians who have had to spend time in police cells because they engaged in some unlawful acts during a protest by Democracy Hub.
The group is expected to protest for three days to make government aware of the seriousness with which they are calling for a halt in all illegal mining activities in the country.
