The Ankobeahemaa of Aseseeso Akuapim, Nana Aku Sika Okani, has called on fellow Queen Mothers to add their voice to the call for unity ahead of the December polls.

Nana Aku Sika described women as powerful people who influence their men and children, and therefore there is a need for their participation in advocating for peace before, during, and after the general elections.

The Ankobeahemaa made this statement during a dinner hosted by the International Association of World Peace Advocates at the National Theater in Accra, where she was appointed as a United Nations Peace Ambassador in Ghana.

She emphasized the need for her fellow Queen Mothers to pray unceasingly for Mother Ghana for peace to prevail during and after the elections.
