Former Black Star player,  Asamoah Gyan, who just announced his retirement from football has revealed that the reason why he still looks good at his age is because he avoids alcoholic beverages.

In an Instagram live session, Gyan—who continues to be a symbol on and off the field—shared this fascinating side of his life and provided insight into how he has kept up his excellent looks over time.

Gyan, 37, still has the ability to win people over with his charm and good looks no matter where he travels.

In addition to receiving recognition and admiration for his football skills, people also find him to be a fan favorite because of his remarkable appearance.

Gyan made it apparent throughout his Instagram live conversation that abstaining from drinking was the secret to his impeccable appearance.

He made it clear that his decision to forgo alcohol was a personal one that has contributed to his sustained good looks rather than being a criticism of others who do drink.

I don’t drink that’s why I’m this fine.

It doesn’t mean that I’m condemning those who drink alcohol but the secret to my fineness is that I don’t drink alcohol,” he said.

Gyan officially announced his retirement from football at the 30th Afreximbank Annual Meeting on June 20, 2023.

Throughout his illustrious career, which included stints at clubs like Sunderland and Stade Rennes, Gyan etched his name in Ghanaian football history.

He stands as the all-time top scorer for Ghana with 51 goals and is the second most-capped player for his country.

Gyan holds the distinction of being Africa’s highest scorer at the FIFA World Cup, having netted six times across three tournaments.

His achievements on the international stage have solidified his status as a football legend not only in Ghana but on the global scale.
