Watch arrival of Bawumia, Akufo-Addo at funeral of Oman FM's Wofa KK

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia were present on Saturday, April 27, 2024, for the laying in state and funeral rites of Kwabena Kwakye, popularly known as Wofa KK.

The General Secretary again received President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who also went through the protocols of greeting except that he did not acknowledge friends and allies of the deceased who were gathered under an adjoining tent.

Some of those the president reportedly snubbed were Kennedy Agyapong, Alan Kyerematen and his wife and former energy minister Boakye Agyarko.

However, Agyapong ultimately faced defeat against Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia

In 2017, Kwabena Kwakye was appointed to the Board of the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) by President Akufo-Addo under the chairmanship of former acting National Chairman of the NPP, Freddie Blay.
