Eastern region: Police probe death of 20-year-old welding apprentice at Akwadum

The Police has initiated investigations into the death of a 20-year-old welding apprentice Felix Ayertey at Akwadum in the Eastern region.

Mr Ayertey is said to have been electrocuted at his workplace but the circumstances leading to his electrocution are readily not known.

“In the morning around 10 am, we received a call from Akwadum Police Station that there had been an incident

A young man aged 20 named Felix Aryertey who is a welding apprentice has been electrocuted at Akwadum near the Chief’s house

“But when we got there, the Akwadum police officers had already been there and the body had been moved to the mortuary

“So we had to follow up to the Effiduase police station to take details of the boy as indicated on the report,” he said.
