Kpone Katamanso drivers, residents to stage continuous demo over deplorable roads

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kpone Katamanso, Joseph Tettey, has stressed that drivers and residents within his constituency will embark on continuous demonstrations to compel the government to fix the deplorable roads in the area.

Drivers who ply their trade on the roads around the Kpone Katamanso Municipality, including Kpone Barrier, Michael Camp, and Saki Bediako, embarked on a sit-down strike yesterday to register their displeasure with the government over the poor state of roads in the community.

Tettey called on the government to do the needful, otherwise, they would demonstrate until the roads were fixed.

“There is a contractor on that road and in July the contractor even promised to come to the site.

He contends that constituents of Kpone Katamanso in the Greater Accra region are taxpayers who deserve to benefit from good roads.

“I want to appeal to the Road Minister and the government that Kpone Katamanso is also part of Ghana

I’m appealing that they should release the necessary funds to the contractors so that they move to site
