Siemens Mobility Signs Landmark MoU to Install Egypt’s First Ever High-Speed Rail System The Egyptian Transport Ministry is preparing to launch trial operations for the first line of the high-speed electric train network, connecting Ain Sokhna, al-Alamein, and Marsa Matrouh, from mid-September until early October 2026.

The first line of the high-speed electric train network extends for 660 kilometers and is part of the Ain Sokhna-Dekheila logistics corridor.

The high-speed electric train’s operation and safety systems rely on security systems provided by specialized foreign companies, in addition to securing stations and surrounding areas through a sophisticated surveillance camera system.
