
Explosion kill 3 civilians, wound 6 more in Syrian countryside
Syrian opposition activists said Monday that airstrikes targeting the country's last major rebel stronghold, the northwestern province of Idlib, have killed three civilians, including a woman and her child (Thiqa News Agency via AP) The Syrian Civil Defense reported that three civilians – including a man, his wife, and his brother – were killed and six others including children were injured from an explosion inside a house in the village of Ain al-Qasab, near the city of Jisr al-Shughur in western Idlib countryside after midnight on Friday.
The director of the Civil Defense center in Jisr al-Shughur, Ali al-Lari, told the Syrian News Channel that Civil Defense teams were continuing their operations at the scene of the incident.
The medical director of Jisr al-Shughour Surgical Hospital, Mostafa Baghour, said that the hospital received the injured from the explosion site.
