Egypt to impose US$ 15 visa fee starting January 2027

Cairo International Airport Egypt has imposed a new fee of US$15 – or its equivalent in foreign currency – for entry and transit visas effective January 1, 2027, according to a decree issued by the Prime Minister and published in the Official Gazette.

The Official Gazette published Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly’s decree specifying the fees for entry and transit visas issued by Egyptian authorities, as well as certain consular services provided by Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad.

According to the decision, the fee for each entry or transit visa issued by Egyptian authorities at ports of entry, as well as for each visa or consular service provided through Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad, will be US$15, or its equivalent in foreign currency.
