Africa must deepen democracy in the modern world - Mahama at Chatham House

has told African countries to strive to deepen democracy in the modern system.

Speaking at the Chatham House on Friday, January 27, Mr Mahama called for youth participation in the governance process in Africa.

He noted that Africa has a youthful population of about 60 percent.

“We need to continue to deepen democracy in the modern world,” he said.

His address was on the theme “Africa’s Strategic Priorities & Global Role”.

He said the address gave him an opportunity to continue his advocacy for a resilient Africa that works strategically towards the attainment of the continent’s Agenda 2063 goals.
