Ghana Premier League Week 28: Karela United beat Aduana in Dormaa

Karela United secured a significant victory over Aduana Stars in a thrilling matchday 28 encounter at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Despite the home team, Aduana Stars, taking an early lead just two minutes into the game courtesy of Richard Mahama, it was Karela United who emerged triumphant in the end.

At halftime, Aduana Stars held onto their advantage as Karela United struggled to level the score in the fiercely contested match.

However, in a spirited second-half performance, Karela United showcased their resilience and determination.

Welbeck Takyi, a former Bofoakwa Tano attacker, equalized for Karela United in the 65th minute, restoring hope for the visitors.

Then, in the 73rd minute, Giyasu Ibrahim scored the decisive goal, securing victory and all three points for Karela United in the highly competitive clash.

The final whistle blew with the scoreboard reading 2-1 in favor of Karela United, marking a significant win for the visiting team at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Aduana Stars maintains their position in third place on the Ghana Premier League table, accumulating 42 points from 28 matches thus far in the season.

On the other hand, Karela United’s victory has propelled them out of the relegation zone, now sitting comfortably in 13th place on the league table with 34 points from 28 matches in the campaign.
