Ghana Premier League Week 28: Nations FC drop points again

Nations FC and Bibiani Gold Stars faced off in a 2023/24 Ghana Premier League match at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

The game ended in a 0-0 draw, leaving both teams without a victory on Saturday.

The draw dealt a blow to Nations FC’s aspirations for the league title, as they now find themselves trailing FC Samartex by seven points.

Despite their efforts, neither team could find the back of the net, resulting in a goalless stalemate.

Nations FC remains in 2nd place on the league table, having amassed 45 points from 28 matches this season.

On the other hand, Bibiani Gold Stars currently occupy the 9th position, sitting comfortably eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Although Gold Stars showed promise early in the game, Nations FC gained momentum as the first half progressed.

They came close to scoring, but the Miners’ goalkeeper stood firm, denying them a goal.

Looking forward, Nations FC will seek to bounce back from this draw when they take on Karela United in their next fixture scheduled for next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Gold Stars will have their sights set on a home clash against Bechem United in their upcoming league match on May 4.
