Ghana’s Black Stars forward Joseph Paintsil scores and provides assist in LA Galaxy game against San Jose Earthquake

Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil played brilliantly for LA Galaxy in a Major League Soccer match against San Jose Earthquake.

He scored a goal and helped with another as LA Galaxy won 4-3 in the Cali Classico clash on Monday.

LA Galaxy’s Gabriel Pec scored first, just 14 minutes into the game.

Then, Joseph Paintsil extended their lead by scoring a penalty in the 24th minute.

After that, he assisted Maya Yoshida, who scored from a corner kick in the 30th minute.

San Jose managed to score one goal before halftime, thanks to Rodrigues in the 32nd minute.

The score was 3-1 in favor of LA Galaxy at halftime.

In the second half, former Barcelona midfielder Ricard Puig scored in the 56th minute, securing the win for LA Galaxy.

However, San Jose fought back, with Benjamin Kikanovic and Jeremy Ebobisse scoring in the 58th and 72nd minutes, respectively.

Despite San Jose’s efforts, LA Galaxy held on to win the match.

This victory keeps LA Galaxy at the top of the Western Conference table, with Joseph Paintsil playing a key role in their success.

Paintsil, who joined LA Galaxy from KRC Genk in February, has been influential throughout the 2024 MLS season, contributing to eight goals so far.
