Spanish side Malaga terminate Ghana international Lumor Agbenyenu’s contract over indiscipline record

The club released a brief statement, stating that they have terminated their professional relationship with the player and released him from his contract with MCF, effective from Wednesday.

Lumor had joined Malaga in October 2022 as a result of Victor Olmo’s injury, with the approval of the then-coach and sports director, Pepe Mel and Manolo Gaspar.

Pepe Mel was not satisfied with his conduct, and Malaga began to explore options to move him away.

Despite appearing in three games, including one in the Copa del Rey in Ibiza versus Pena Deportiva, his time with Malaga will be best remembered for scoring the winning goal in the penalty shootout that advanced the Blue and Whites to the next round.
