“We have stabilised the present; now we must secure the future” — Deputy Finance Minister

The Deputy Minister for Finance, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, says Ghana must now build on its restored macroeconomic stability and secure a productive, competitive and resilient economy for the next decade.” Mr Ampem identified stronger economic buffers, increased productivity, effective institutions, inclusive growth and a vibrant private sector as essential to protecting the economy against future shocks.

Speaking on behalf of the Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, at the Business Roundtable Extended 2026 Executive Dialogue in Accra, Mr Ampem said the country must shift its attention from correcting past economic challenges to expanding production, attracting investment and creating jobs.
