WASSCE Failures: Placement system, falling standards may be the problem, says Prof Adei

Former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei, has rejected suggestions that the grading system is responsible for the high number of students who failed or were unable to secure placement after the latest WASSCE.“It’s either the system of placement or standards are deteriorating, but even then, we cannot use one year to determine the trend statistically.”Prof Adei maintained that the consistency of the grading system makes it difficult to blame it for the latest poor results.
