Walewale MP launches GH¢1m fund to support women, small businesses

The initiative, dubbed the GH¢1 million “Fako” Fund, is designed to provide interest-free loans and other financial support to women, particularly widows, petty traders and small-scale entrepreneurs, to establish or expand income-generating activities.

Tia Mahama Kabiru, has launched a GH¢1 million fund to provide affordable capital to small business owners in the constituency, with a particular focus on women.

Kabiru said the fund was established to support people who struggle to access credit from formal financial institutions because of high interest rates and a lack of collateral.
