UK prosecutors argue Tate brothers a flight risk ahead of bail hearing

British prosecutors are urging a US court to deny a request by influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan that they be released from jail while extradition proceedings play out, ahead of a detention hearing.

Self-proclaimed "misogynist" Andrew Tate first rose to fame after an appearance on the British version of reality TV show Big Brother in 2016."All of the complainants in this case are vulnerable and in fear of Andrew and Tristan Tate because of the violence used towards them – several of the complainants describe being assaulted and threatened with weapons – and because of the resources available to Andrew and Tristan Tate, and because of their propensity to intimidate vulnerable complainants."
