Tourism Minister prioritises unfinished cultural centres over Kumasi theatre promise

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie has said that the government will prioritise completing existing cultural facilities before starting a new National Theatre in Kumasi.“I took a tour of Ashanti Region’s theatre and centre for national culture spaces and I have suggested to cabinet that instead of starting a new one, we focus on finishing what has been started and cabinet is in approval of that suggestion.

The Minister said her proposal to Cabinet was intended to ensure that uncompleted cultural projects initiated by previous governments were completed before work began on the proposed National Theatre in Kumasi.
