‘The street is for Bawumia now’ - Aggrieved Ghanaians join NPP demo

The NPP says the demonstration is aimed at protecting civil liberties and the rule of law Supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) taking part in Thursday's “Democracy Under Attack” demonstration have expressed confidence in the party's political future with some declaring that "the street" now belongs to the NPP and its 2024 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia."The street is disappointed in the NDC," the protester said.

The nationwide demonstration was organized by the NPP under the theme “Democracy Under Attack” with the party alleging increasing intimidation of critics and threats to free expression under the current Mahama administration.
