Seidu Agongo launches initiative to empower youth, women

Changing fortunes Announcing the initiative, Alhaji Agongo, the founder of the collapsed Heritage Bank, said the project was inspired by his desire to empower the many young people and women who remain trapped in poverty despite possessing the determination and potential to improve their circumstances if given the necessary support and tools.

Businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Seidu Agongo, has launched an initiative to empower women and young people across the country.

As the first phase of the initiative, 10,000 beneficiaries are to receive free sewing machines and other basic support required to start or expand careers in dressmaking, tailoring and other segments of the garment industry.
