'Resign or be replaced'- Ejisu Assembly Members to MCE Jerryne Asante

"All the 28 elected Assembly Members have resolved that we are giving an ultimatum of one week, starting today, that the woman, that is the MCE, Honourable Jerryne Asante should in her own will put up a resignation letter and recuse herself from the office, or we are pleading to the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, to replace Honourable Jerryne Asante within this said one week," a spokesperson for the group said.

Jerryne Asante is MCE for Ejisu Twenty-eight elected Assembly Members of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly have issued a one-week ultimatum demanding the resignation or replacement of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Jerryne Asante.

They said the Presiding Member had also received a letter from the Regional Minister instructing that the meeting be postponed and directing Assembly Members not to proceed with it.
