Prudential Life Insurance launches new app to promote financial literacy

A Subsidiary of Prudential PLC, Prudential Life Insurance Ghana (PLIG), has launched a free web-based financial platform to help the youth to make informed financial decisions for a brighter future.

Notable among initiatives that have promoted financial literacy and inclusion in Ghana, she pointed out, were the Cha-Ching Financial Literacy Programme, which introduced thousands of children to the fundamentals of financial management, as well as Prudential Sika Sukuu, which engaged individuals in tertiary institutions, communities, and markets.

Increasing financial literacy Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prudential Life Insurance Ghana, Jane Mingle, noted that in recent times, there had been an increase in financial scams, fraud, misinformation, and increasingly complex financial products and services where individuals have also had to make critical decisions about savings, investments, insurance, pensions and digital financial services.
