Post trained teachers to private schools to reduce unemployment – GNAT to government

The Secretary of the Greater Kumasi chapter of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), Argin Frimpong, has called on the government and the Ministry of Education to consider posting trained teachers to private schools as part of measures to reduce teacher unemployment in the country.

He noted that private schools play a significant role in Ghana’s education sector and urged the Ministry of Education and the government to prioritise them in the teacher-posting system.

Meanwhile, the Director of Moldgold School, Abigail Yayarah Karikari, has called on the government to support private schools with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) equipment to promote skills-based education.
