Police arrest 68 suspects, seize 835 devices in Interpol cybercrime operation

The Ghana Police Service has arrested 68 suspects and confiscated 835 digital devices in a coordinated operation with Interpol as part of efforts to combat cybercrime.“In one coordinated Interpol operation, the CID arrested 68 suspects, seized 835 devices, identified 108 victims, traced more than $450,000 in losses and made significant recovery of funds,” she said.

Director-General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, disclosed that the operation also led to the identification of 108 victims, while investigators traced losses exceeding US$450,000 and recovered a significant amount of the stolen funds.
