Police arrest 5 suspected robbers in Accra, retrieve firearms and ammunition

The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested five people suspected of being members of a criminal group involved in armed robbery and landguard activities following an intelligence-led operation at Sapeiman Faase in the Greater Accra Region."The Accra Regional Police Command commends members of the public who continue to support the Police with credible information and urges residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious persons or activities to the nearest Police Station or through the Police emergency numbers," the statement said.

According to a statement issued by the Head of Public Affairs of the Accra Regional Police Command, Chief Superintendent Juliana Obeng, the suspects were arrested on July 17, 2026.
