Our deeds and sacrifices speak after we are gone – Sheikh Aremeyaw at helicopter crash memorial

The spokesperson for the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu, has called on Ghanaians to reflect deeply on the purpose of life, the certainty of death and the importance of leaving behind enduring legacies of service, as the nation marked the first anniversary of the tragic military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians.

Speaking during the National Inter-Faith Memorial Service held in Accra on Thursday, August 6, Sheikh Shaibu said the solemn gathering was not only to mourn the departed but also to inspire the living to embrace lives of purpose, sacrifice and accountability before God.

Sheikh Shaibu reflected to the theme of the memorial service, saying the lives of the eight departed public servants demonstrated the enduring value of commitment to duty and sacrifice for the nation.
