Okuapeman and H’Mount Sinai SHSs shut down by REGSEC following violent clash and property damage

The Eastern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has ordered the closure of Okuapeman Senior High School (OKUASS) and Mount Sinai Senior High School after a violent incident in the early hours of Wednesday left students injured and caused extensive damage to properties of both schools.

The closure is expected to remain in effect while security authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure conditions are safe for students and staff to return.

Mount Sinai SHS also recorded damage, with its store room and boys’ washroom burnt during the incident.
