NGO empowers 5,000 young women in five years, calls for more funding to expand

More than 5,000 young women across Ghana have been equipped with vocational and entrepreneurial skills over the past five years through the intervention of the NZURI UHAI Foundation, as the organization intensifies efforts to promote women’s economic empowerment and self-reliance.“The Foundation is committed to increasing the number of beneficiaries in the years ahead to ensure that more young women are empowered to contribute meaningfully to national development,” she said.

Despite the Foundation’s achievements, Madam Tweneboah identified inadequate funding as one of its biggest challenges, explaining that limited financial resources continue to hinder the expansion of its vocational training programmes and the provision of accommodation for trainees.
