Awal said some of the names being linked to a possible replacement are people who are regularly seen around Afenyo-Markin, making the argument for his removal difficult to understand.

Awal said the NPP has not seen serious internal opposition to Afenyo-Markin’s leadership, despite names being mentioned as possible replacements.“The NDC people are asking we should change him,” he said on Joy Prime, stressing that the calls were coming from outside the NPP rather than from the party itself.
