NACOC receives IT boost to tackle emerging cyber-enabled drug trafficking

Major General Obuba Mantey said the changing nature of illicit drug trafficking and abuse, particularly the use of cyber platforms by persons involved in the trade, had become a major concern for the Commission.

The Director-General also appealed to other corporate institutions to partner with NACOC and support efforts to address the growing threat posed by drug trafficking and abuse in Ghana.

Mood Digital Services Ltd (MDSL), a technology company, has donated 50 HP laptops and other information technology equipment to the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) to strengthen the Commission’s IT-led and regional operations.
