Mahama Ayariga proposes peak-hour dedicated lanes for Aayalolo buses

Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mahama Ayariga, has proposed allowing Aayalolo buses to use a lane on the opposite side of congested roads during peak hours to improve travel times and make the public transport service more reliable.“So, we want to sit with the IGP, Interior Minister and his team and see if it is possible that at peak hours, from 6 am to 9 am, one of the lanes on the opposite side can be dedicated to Aayalolo so that they will move fast,” he said.
He therefore proposed a peak-hour arrangement under which Aayalolo buses would temporarily use a lane on the opposite side of a congested road to avoid heavy traffic.
