Karpowership Ghana trains fisherfolk on fire safety, hygiene and financial management

The training, held on Tuesday, August 11, brought together key institutions, including the Ghana National Fire Service, Fisheries Commission and Fidelity Bank, to provide practical education aimed at improving safety, protecting livelihoods and strengthening the resilience of the fishing communities.

Fire Safety Training and Demonstration A key component of the programme was fire safety, with the Ghana National Fire Service educating participants on fire prevention, emergency response and the safe handling of fire incidents both at the fishing harbour and in their homes.

Karpowership Ghana has organised a capacity-building training for fishermen and fishmongers from Sekondi and Essikado, focusing on environmental safety awareness, fire prevention, hygienic fish handling and financial management.
