It’s Illegal to solicit money for placement promises – Apaak warns

“No guardian, no candidate should pay money to any individual, whether that person claims to be an official of the Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service, the Ghana TV Service, a school official, an intermediary, or any other third party to secure or change placement,” he stated.

Paying or receiving money to secure, change or influence a candidate’s school placement is illegal and will not be tolerated, Deputy Minister of Education Dr Clement Apaak has said.

Dr Apaak further urged parents, guardians, cnadidates to report anyone demanding or soliciting money in exchange for a promise to secure, alter or influence a placement to the Ghana Police Service or the Office of the Special Prosecutor, the Deputy Minister said.
