HIV drugs available at health facilities, Health Ministry denies shortage claims

The Ministry also assured the public, particularly persons living with HIV, that steps were being taken to maintain the availability and distribution of antiretroviral medicines across the country.“ARVs are available at designated health facilities across Ghana to support the continued treatment and care of persons living with HIV,” the Ministry said.

In a statement issued on August, 11, 2026, the Ministry said it had taken note of a statement by the Network of Persons Living with HIV in Ghana (NAP+ Ghana) alleging shortages of ARVs.
