Haruna Iddrisu announces revised basic school curriculum with artificial intelligence, coding and TVET

"I'm happy to note that on Wednesday, a revised curriculum from kindergarten to junior high school will be presented formally to the Ministry of Education for onward submission to the President and for the policy to go to Cabinet and Parliament," he stated.

Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has announced that Ghana's revised basic school curriculum, which introduces coding, artificial intelligence (AI), electronics and technical and vocational education and training (TVET), will be presented to the Ministry of Education this week.

Speaking at the Government's Accountability Series on Monday, July 20, the Minister said the revised curriculum, covering kindergarten to junior high school (JHS), is one of the government's major education reforms and is aimed at equipping learners with skills needed for the future.
