Government receives GH¢391m dividend from Perseus Mining

2 million (US$35 million) dividend from Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited, Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson has announced.

The significant increase in the dividend is likely to draw attention to Ghana’s mining fiscal regime, particularly the extent to which the state can increase its revenue when international gold prices and mining companies’ profitability rise.“On behalf of the Government and people of Ghana, I thank Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited for presenting GH¢391,195,000.
